Technifex produced custom interactive doors for SHI Labs. As guests approach the entry doors, the glass is frosted with the SHI Labs logo and the phrase “Remember When the Future Was Cool?”. When the guest touches the handle to enter the glass instantly goes clear and the phrase “Well It Is Again!” is revealed.
The glass assembly contains Liquid Crystal glass panel which changes from frosted to clear when electrified. The outer layers of laminate glass protect the printed graphics. Technifex built a custom control system and integrated capacitive sensors located in the door handles that activate the Liquid Crystal glass. The phrase “Well It Is Again!” was printed with UV sensitive ink and lit with additional black light fixtures.
