Technifex is still celebrating our 35th anniversary! Meet Paul Shozi who heads up Technifex’ design department, leading the creative implementation of client related architecture, show and special effects concepts and illustrations, as well as all internal graphic design, media, photography, videography, website design, presentation decks, collateral design, and social media. He has been with the company over two decades and is now quite indispensable. Helping our engineering team bring drawings to life, Paul provides not only simple sketches, illustrations and renderings, but he is a digital pro with design, 3D modeling, animation, and video editing software tools. However, one of his hidden talents is being able to utilize the toys in the fabrication shop to build physical models.
Prior to joining Technifex, Shozi worked for the architectural office of David Kellen & Associates (DKA) and for Jefferson Eliot Concept Design (JECD) providing working drawings for overall project and construction management, as well as concept renderings, architectural concepts and various show concepts for numerous themed entertainment projects. Paul received his bachelor’s degree in architectural design from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and also studied for one year at the Kyushu Institute of Design.
