TECHNIFEX ANNOUNCES US WATERPARK INSTALLATIONS

Slide Lites™ and Tunnel Vision™ Help Re-Invent the Waterpark Experience

Two new installations of Technifex’s latest products, Slide Lites and Tunnel Vision, opened in waterparks over the Memorial Day weekend. The Venetian Indoor Waterpark at the Holiday Inn in Maple Grove, Minnesota and Island Waterpark in Fresno, California are the first US installations of Technifex’s new products, introduced at last years IAAPA and World Waterpark shows.

Island Waterpark revamped an existing enclosed slide by adding 75 Slide Lites and a dual projector Tunnel Vision system to create their thrilling new “Bermuda Tunnel of Terror.” Now, riders slide down the tunnel and are terrorized by spinning fan blades and brick wall barriers projected onto a state-of-the-art water screen in the middle of the ride. The flashing Slide Lites illuminate the way down the dark, black tunnel, helping riders navigate their way to safety.

Technifex provided 95 Slide Lites for slide sections being installed at the Venetian Indoor Waterpark. Splashtacular, Inc., the slide manufacturer, wanted to add additional fun and safety features into the slide. Technifex’s Slide Lites fit the bill perfectly. With their low-voltage LED UV lighting and fluorescent artwork, guests now have a better sense of the twists and turns in the slide, as well as experience flashes of color and speed not normally seen in this type of attraction.

“Slide Lites and Tunnel Vision represent Technifex’s commitment to creating unique and adaptable show systems for water parks,” states Monty Lunde, President of Technifex. “We see great demand for products that provide entertainment and thrills for waterpark guests and we are very happy with the results at Island Waterpark and The Venetian park.”
